ChatGPT Ads gains app attribution: AppsFlyer and Adjust integrate for cross-platform install and in-app event measurement
Published by AINave Editorial • Reviewed by Ramit
OpenAI has integrated ChatGPT Ads with AppsFlyer and Adjust to provide install attribution, re-engagement attribution, and in-app event postbacks for ChatGPT campaigns. The integrations close a long-standing measurement gap for app downloads and downstream user activity, enabling app advertisers to prove that clicks lead to installs and measure what users do afterward. For the first time since the pilot began in February 2026, mobile marketers can now compare ChatGPT Ads performance inside the same dashboards and attribution rules they use for Meta, Google, and TikTok.
What happened
AppsFlyer and Adjust each published setup documentation and began enabling attribution for ChatGPT Ads across multiple platforms. The integration supports iOS, Android, Windows, Unity, React Native, Flutter, and more, using Adjust's standard partner template. Five credentials are required to activate the link: API KEY, PIXEL ID, ACTION SOURCE, INSTALL EVENT NAME, and optional SOURCE URL. The setup requires Admin, Editor, or Custom Editor permissions in Adjust and SDK 4.0.0+ for mapping parameters.
Attribution is available in seven markets: the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Japan, and South Korea. Mexico and Brazil are listed as coming soon. AppsFlyer's integration documentation carries a last-updated timestamp of July 9, 2026, with AdTechRadar reporting the move on July 24, 2026.
Why AI builders should care
For teams building or advertising AI products, the integration turns ChatGPT Ads into a measurable channel comparable to established ad networks. AppsFlyer and Adjust are the two largest mobile measurement partners, both holding badged
