Novastart

Novastart is an infinite canvas whiteboard OS. Instead of juggling separate windows, tabs and apps, Novastart brings everything you work with onto one boundless whiteboard, so your tools and your files can live side by side in a single shared space.

On a Novastart canvas you can open Chrome, ChatGPT, Claude, Word and Excel next to each other, together with your own files. Because the canvas is infinite, you are never boxed in by the edges of a screen. You can arrange apps and documents the way you think about a project, keep related work grouped together, and move around the canvas to focus on whatever matters right now. The whiteboard becomes your desktop, your workspace and your project board in one place.

Novastart is built for collaboration from the start. You can invite teammates to shared canvases, so everyone sees the same whiteboard with the same apps and files laid out side by side. Instead of sending links back and forth or describing what is on your screen, your team can work on one shared canvas together.

What makes Novastart different is that AI agents are first-class participants on the canvas. You can bring AI agents onto the whiteboard, and each agent gets its own cursor and keyboard. That means agents do not just answer questions in a separate chat window; they work right on the canvas, alongside you and your teammates, in real time. You can watch what an agent is doing, see where its cursor is, and keep working on the same canvas at the same time. People and AI agents share one workspace, using the same apps and files.

Novastart is available on a freemium model, so you can get started for free.

Novastart was founded in 2025 in San Francisco by Thomas Fraher, with the goal of turning the infinite canvas into an operating system where people and AI agents can work together.
