Mental Note

MentalNote is a clinical documentation tool built directly into Microsoft Word that helps therapists, psychologists, counselors, and other mental health professionals generate structured session notes in seconds rather than hours.\ Clinical documentation is one of the biggest administrative burdens in mental health practice. Therapists routinely spend 30 to 60 minutes per client writing up session notes after appointments, cutting into time that could be spent seeing more clients or simply going home at a reasonable hour. MentalNote eliminates that bottleneck.\ The add-in supports all major clinical note formats including SOAP, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, and PIE notes, along with intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Practitioners select their note type, input key session details, and MentalNote generates a complete, professionally structured note that follows documentation best practices and meets insurance and compliance requirements.\ Because MentalNote works inside Microsoft Word, there is nothing new to learn and no separate platform to log into. It fits directly into the workflow clinicians already use. Notes can be saved, edited, and exported in any format Word supports, making it compatible with virtually any EHR system that accepts document uploads.\ MentalNote is designed for solo practitioners, group practices, and clinical supervisors who need consistent, high-quality documentation across their team. It is particularly valuable for new clinicians still developing their documentation skills and for experienced therapists looking to reclaim hours lost to administrative work each week.\ The tool is available as a subscription through the Microsoft AppSource marketplace and works with both Windows and Mac versions of Microsoft Word.
