Overview
WarriorHacks 2.0 is an online, student-focused competition hosted by the Westwood Computer Science Club, based at Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. It welcomes participants of all skill levels and challenges them to develop a project addressing an issue in their community, county, state, or nation. The event runs from September 28 through October 14, 2026, with submissions due October 13 at 11:45 p.m. Central Daylight Time.
Students aged 13 or older may participate. The page lists participation as open to all countries and territories except Brazil, Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Quebec, and Russia. Companies and professional organizations are excluded.
Tracks and submissions
Participants choose between two tracks. The hackathon track requires a coded project related to the theme. Submit a GitHub repository, a two-to-three-minute demo video, and project images. For website projects, a demo link is recommended. The ideathon track does not require code. Instead, participants develop a conceptual solution and submit supporting materials such as a presentation, flowchart, Figma design, or other helpful project materials, along with a two-to-three-minute presentation video. Participants in both tracks must complete the WarriorHacks 2.0 Track Selection Form.
Judging
Entries are assessed on four criteria: impact, including whether the project addresses a meaningful problem for a clear audience; feasibility, including technical achievability and sustainability; user experience, including accessibility and ease of use; and technical craft, including architecture, code quality, originality, and innovation. Listed judges are Prayash Gyawali, Nischal Kotamraju, Aditya Bhadra, Aarav Karumanchi, Leif Ramirez, Lucas Janssen, and Arun Arunachalam.
Prizes and sponsors
The page lists eight non-cash prize categories. First-, second-, and third-place awards are offered separately in each track. The first-place packages include a two-year CodeCrafters VIP membership, Tier I AI mock interview credits, a CleanShot X license, and an Art of Problem Solving coupon. Second- and third-place packages include shorter CodeCrafters memberships alongside interview credits, a CleanShot X license, and a coupon. Two Top Warrior winners receive interview credits and a CleanShot X license. The page also lists participant rewards, including Tier II interview credits, a one-year .xyz domain, one month of DevSwarm Pro, and a 14-day Balsamiq trial.
