Overview
The Anna AI App Builder Program is a DoraHacks supported initiative centered on helping developers turn AI powered ideas into fully installable Anna Marketplace Apps. The program provides infrastructure for hosting, sandboxed execution, user accounts, and app distribution on Anna AI OS. It offers a structured path from idea to published app with recurring monthly grants based on verified user growth, rather than a single prize. The program is designed for indie hackers, AI agent developers, MCP server builders, open source maintainers, automation creators, and existing AI or SaaS teams who want to extend their work into a marketplace experience. The focus is on building functional, user facing apps that run within Anna, not just demonstrations or repositories.
Program Highlights
- Up to $6,000 per App during the September Launch Boost
- Up to $5,000 per App per eligible month afterward
- Grants begin at 200 Qualified App MAU (Monthly Active Users)
- Up to $80,000 in total Builder Grants each month
- No top three leaderboards; no winner-takes-all judging
- Existing Agents, scripts, MCP servers, open-source projects, and SaaS products are welcome
Every eligible App that reaches a published MAU tier may receive the corresponding monthly grant, subject to Official Program Rules. Qualify by November 30, 2026, to participate in future cycles.
Who Should Join?
This program is designed for indie hackers and solo builders, AI Agent developers, MCP server builders, open-source maintainers, automation creators, and teams that already run AI or SaaS projects. You do not need to start from scratch; you may adapt an existing project into an Anna App.
What Can You Build?
Starting points include Python or Node.js scripts, AI Agents, MCP servers, multi-agent systems, open-source projects, or existing SaaS products. The final submission must be a complete Anna Marketplace App that is approved and published on the Anna Marketplace, fully runnable inside Anna, with a user facing interface and working backend logic. A standalone GitHub repo or demo video alone is not eligible.
How the Program Works
Phase 1: Build and Publish (July 29 – August 31, 2026)
During Build and Beta, you can create an Anna account, activate your Developer Account, build or migrate your App, test locally, upload and test your App version in Anna, submit for Anna App Review, and release to the marketplace after approval. August usage does not count toward cash rewards.
Phase 2: Qualify as a Founding Builder (September 1 – November 30, 2026)
Official MAU tracking begins on September 1, 2026. To qualify for the initial Founding Builder cohort, your App must reach at least 200 Qualified App MAU in one calendar month within September to November. A Launch Boost applies in September for the first qualifying month.
Phase 3: Continue Earning (December 2026 and Beyond)
November 30 marks the qualification deadline for the initial cohort, but monthly grants continue as long as MAU, availability, maintenance, verification, and compliance requirements are met. If MAU falls below 200 in a given month, payment pauses for that month but can resume when the threshold is met again.
Monthly Grant Tiers
A diagram illustrates the tier system and rules. Grants are evaluated monthly, and the $80,000 figure represents the total monthly Builder Program budget rather than a single App prize. Grants are normally paid within 30 days after the measurement month ends. The program enables ongoing participation in future cycles for successful apps.
