Overview
The Multimodal AI Hackathon 2026 is a fully online, nationwide student hackathon focused on applying Generative AI, Agentic AI, and multimodal systems to practical challenges. Organized by KamandPrompt, the Programming Club of IIT Mandi, with AugLi.ai, PurpleRain Tech, and LDV Labs, it invites participants to build solutions with real-world potential in Space research, BioTech, and Education. The event highlights systems that can reason across different kinds of information, including text, images, and data, and encourages teams to pair technical work with a clear understanding of the problems they aim to solve.
Projects might support research, broaden access to learning, or address operational bottlenecks. The event lists four tracks across the three focus areas. Each track has defined problem statements, and submissions are evaluated against the judging criteria specified for those statements. The problem statements are linked from the event page.
Dates and format
The event runs for 15 days, from September 29 to October 14, 2026. It is fully online, with projects submitted through Devpost. Participation is free. People may enter individually or in teams of up to four, and teams may include students from different colleges. Further information is shared through the official Discord community after registration.
