Learn AI (Curriculum Access)
To support all participants, the program offers a free, beginner friendly AI curriculum developed by the ML Empowerment Foundation. The curriculum is a 12 lesson, self paced program that covers the fundamentals of AI, machine learning, data, algorithms, neural networks, and modern tools such as large language models and multimodal AI. Students will also learn practical skills like prompt engineering and explore ethical implications and future impact of AI. The curriculum is designed to be simple, interactive, and accessible, making it easy for anyone to start learning and building with AI. Access to the curriculum is provided via an online repository.
Build Your Project
After mastering the fundamentals, participants apply their knowledge by building a project using AI. The challenge outlines several project directions, including AI powered applications, chatbots or assistants, tools that solve real world problems, and creative or experimental AI projects. Sponsors and partner organizations are involved to give participants opportunities to learn different AI tools, platforms, and APIs, providing hands on experience with real world technologies. Team members are encouraged to document their work with a project title, detailed description, key features, technologies used, target users, and supporting files such as screenshots or demos. A live project link or repository is encouraged when available.
