Event Contracts Hackathon

Overview

The Event Contracts Hackathon is a collaborative effort between Somnia Network and DreamDEX to accelerate the adoption of DreamDEX Event Contracts by builders across the Web3, AI, and trading spaces. The event invites developers, AI engineers, and Web3 teams to create innovative products powered by DreamDEX Event Contracts. Projects can range from consumer-facing trading apps and AI trading agents to analytics dashboards and social prediction platforms. The hackathon emphasizes production-ready demos and real integration with DreamDEX tools, APIs, and SDKs to showcase practical use cases and impactful user experiences.

This is an online event with a global scope. Participants can join individually or form teams. The focus is on meaningful, production-grade implementations rather than simple proofs of concept, with an opportunity to contribute to a growing ecosystem around Event Contracts, prediction markets, trading, and agentic applications.

Prizes

A prize pool of USD 5,000 is up for grabs to reward standout projects that meaningfully utilize DreamDEX Event Contracts. In addition to cash prizes, top teams may gain social media exposure, a chance to present their project to the Somnia community, and featured placement in the Somnia Discord showcase series.

Eligibility

The hackathon welcomes developers and teams from around the world, with particular interest in AI and agentic Web3 developers, trading application developers, full-stack engineers, product-focused builders, and those intrigued by prediction markets and on-chain trading. Participants may enter solo or as a team, with an emphasis on producing production-ready applications rather than simple proofs of concept.

What to Build

Your project should demonstrate a meaningful use of DreamDEX Event Contracts and deliver a useful, innovative, or engaging user experience. Suggested emphasis areas include working prototypes, integration with DreamDEX Event Contracts, meaningful use of DreamDEX APIs and SDKs, intuitive UX, and potential for user adoption and ecosystem impact.

Submission Guidelines

Each team should submit a working prototype on a testnet, a GitHub repository, a 2 to 3 minute demo video, and a feedback report about the SDK and documentation. Optional additions include a presentation deck to provide a broader view of the idea and implementation.
