Overview
Mobile Developers Week 2027 takes place January 12–14 at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Its theme is “Decoding the Future: From Code to Capability.” The event focuses on practical applications of AI and mobile development, with a format designed for participants to build skills through workshops and guided demonstrations rather than only listening to presentations. Organizers expect more than 3,000 attendees and over 70 speakers.
Program and format
The three-day program is organized around nine industry stages: HealthAI, EnergyAI, MediaAI, GovAI, FinAI, EduAI, RetailAI, Builders, and Mobility. The event describes more than 90 practical sessions. Each session is a 45-minute hands-on workshop or guided tour of real solutions, with live simulations and opportunities to work through AI applications. The stated aim is for attendees to leave with usable workflows and a clear way to continue applying what they learned at work.
Topics and technologies listed across the event include agentic AI, large language models, computer vision, on-device AI, generative AI, and responsible AI, as well as Kotlin, Swift, Jetpack Compose, and SwiftUI. HealthAI examples include building a clinical triage assistant with existing LLM APIs, working with ready-made medical imaging models, and creating compliant patient-facing health chatbots.
The three days are framed around different outcomes: Day 1, “Discover,” is intended to help attendees leave with a clear build brief; Day 2, “Build,” focuses on creating a working workflow; and Day 3, “Continue,” aims to prepare attendees to carry the work forward at their jobs. Facilitators are expected from local, regional, and international organizations.
