Overview
Human × AI 2027, titled "Building Europe's Sovereign Growth Engine", is a European conference taking place on 11 May 2027 in Vienna, Austria. It is part of the official agenda of ViennaUP 2027, a city-wide festival of entrepreneurship and innovation running from 10 to 14 May 2027, with a WarmUP weekend from 7 to 9 May 2027. The conference focuses on ecosystems and capital for industrial transformation. It explores how Europe can build the economic foundation to develop, finance, govern and scale the technologies and business models that anchor its sovereignty.
The event is organised by Human×AI Europe, founded in 2026. It is built together with its Builders (Visibilio, SEG, Xactway and Verto Digital), its Exclusive Vienna Ecosystem Partner GrowDACH+, its Co-Builders (Sistemma and City Ideas Institute) and its Co-hosts (ViennaUP Festival and Vienna Business Agency). The organisers state that Human × AI is not affiliated with the separate HumanX conference series.

The conference is aimed at five communities: technology companies building the AI layer, businesses that align innovation with impact and shared value, private and institutional investors, startups and scale-ups that challenge incumbents, and universities that nurture talent and research.
Format
The event is described as a wide-format agenda that presents ideas and use cases. Beyond the single day in Vienna, the organisers run a year-round Content Hub that publishes analysis, interviews and briefings in six formats: Radar, Debate, Build, Canvas, Ideas and People. New stories are shared through the Daily Brief newsletter and an RSS feed.
Agenda, speakers and venue
The 2027 programme, speaker lineup and venue have not yet been announced. The site states they will be published when confirmed. Organisers invite speakers who bring original thinking, practical evidence and a European perspective, particularly on commercialisation, industrial transformation, technological sovereignty and the conditions companies need to scale. The first edition took place on 19 May 2026 in Vienna as part of ViennaUP 2026. It featured 29 speakers, more than 200 attendees and participants from more than 30 countries. Its programme, speakers and highlights video remain online.

Ticket details for 2027 will be announced on the tickets page. ViennaUP has no single pass for the whole festival, so each event has its own ticketing. Organisations can become Mission Partners through sponsorship, contributing funding, expertise, networks and institutional reach. The 2027 Mission Partners will be announced later.
