Overview
dxday is a one-day conference focused on the impact of AI on software development, aiming to explore how teams build, ship, and run software in an environment where AI-assisted coding and intelligent workflows are becoming the norm. The Bologna edition presents a curated, single-track program designed to surface real data from practitioners who have shipped products and measured outcomes. The event emphasizes practical playbooks rather than vendor pitches, with a focus on open questions that attendees can work through together over the day. The venue is Bologna, Italy, at Hotel Savoia Regency, a city backdrop chosen to foster a thoughtful, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere for technologists and teams of all backgrounds.
Agenda
The agenda centers on talks from practitioners who have firsthand experience deploying AI-infused development processes. The program highlights the challenges of coding agents, productivity metrics, and AI workflows, along with the cognitive load and code review implications in AI-enabled software engineering. Attendees can expect a sequence of sessions that explore real-world outcomes, failures, and lessons learned, followed by coffee breaks to facilitate discussion and idea sharing. A dedicated section explains what dxday is and how it serves as a forum for exploring open questions together, rather than presenting polished pitches.
