Overview
CloudCon Sydney 2026 is Australia’s premier cloud-native conference, organized by KCD Sydney Incorporated as part of the CNCF community program. The event brings together 200+ cloud-native practitioners from Australia and the Asia-Pacific region for two days of real-world talks, hands-on workshops, and community networking. The venue is ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour, with sessions held across Cockle Bay rooms and related spaces. The program emphasizes practitioner-driven content, practical patterns, and actionable takeaways rather than marketing pitches.
Agenda
The conference centers on practitioner talks across five tracks: Kubernetes, AI and ML, Platform Engineering, Security, and an Other track for cross-cutting topics. Day 1 highlights two parallel 3-hour hands-on workshops in Cockle Bay Room 1 and 2, focusing on real-world deployment, observability, and platform engineering topics. The schedule includes keynote style sessions, sponsor panels, and deep-dives into production readiness, with a dedicated Networking Lunch and an Afternoon Tea break. A two-day program then continues with additional talks, case studies, and demonstrations, concluding with a Welcome Reception. A CFP and sessions listing are hosted on Sessionize.
Speakers & Sessions
Past and present speakers feature engineers and leaders from AWS, Microsoft, Google, Octopus Deploy, Nine, Careful Security, ClickHouse, Zepto, Vivanti, and many others. Past CloudCon events showcased real-world implementation stories, Kubernetes release cycles, MLOps patterns, security architecture, and cloud cost optimization. The 2026 program is expected to continue this emphasis on practical, production-focused content, with sessions covering Kubernetes operations, GenAI and AI agents on Kubernetes, observability, security patterns, architectural patterns, and platform engineering best practices.
Tracks & Workshops
Tracks include Kubernetes, AI & ML, Platform Engineering, Security, and an Other track for topics like cost optimization and observability platforms. Day 1 features hands-on workshops in Cockle Bay Room 1 and Room 2, with prerequisites to bring a laptop.
