Overview
AI Engineer Code Summit 2026 is the second annual code-focused summit from AI Engineer. It takes place in San Francisco, California, from November 10 to 12, 2026. The event centers on agentic coding and brings together top engineers building coding agents, founders and engineering leaders rolling out coding and internal agents, and researchers advancing AI software engineering. The organizers describe it as a chance to catch up on a year of agentic coding in one room. The summit admitted 800 attendees last year, and its talks drew 1.5 million views worldwide.
Who should attend
The summit is built for practitioners. Talks and conversations assume attendees already know the fundamentals, so the focus is on real workflows, hard-won lessons, and technical depth. The page describes three groups: engineers building coding agents, founders and engineering leaders deploying coding and internal agents, and researchers working on AI software engineering. Attendance is by application only, and applications are currently open. Approval is based on the ability to contribute to the conversation as much as to take from it.
Agenda
The schedule runs across three days. The page notes that the agenda is preliminary and the full agenda will be published soon.
- Day 1, Tuesday, November 10: Hands-on AIE workshops across the day, followed by an opening reception that connects speakers, attendees, and sponsors.
- Day 2, Wednesday, November 11: Full-day single-track keynotes and sessions, with the Summit Expo open and plenty of breaks for the hallway track.
- Day 3, Thursday, November 12: Full-day keynotes and sessions, a final opportunity to walk the Summit Expo, and an afterparty to close the summit.
Program focus
The program covers coding agents, IDE workflows, code review, evaluations, internal agents, and agent infrastructure. This year the organizers also emphasize internal agents, including how companies such as Ramp and Coinbase build AI systems for their own teams. Sessions are intended to show the workflows speakers use, the systems they ship, and the lessons that changed how they build, so attendees can apply ideas right away.
Speakers
The Call for Speakers is closed, and the speaker lineup is coming soon. Final decisions are expected in late October. Past speakers have included engineers and leaders from OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, and Cognition, along with other leading builders and power users of coding agents.
Format
The conference uses a single track, so attendees do not face competing sessions. The first day is devoted to hands-on workshops, and the next two days feature keynotes and sessions. Attendees who cannot attend in person can watch the livestream, and the organizers also share talks through their YouTube channel and social media.
Venue
The event is held at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, 333 O'Farrell St, San Francisco, CA 94102. The organizers offer a discounted room block at the venue while it lasts for attendees who want to stay overnight.
Tickets
Tickets are available only after an application is approved. The Regular ticket is $1,299 plus fees and covers talks and the expo on November 11 and 12. The Final and At-Door ticket is $1,499 plus fees for the same days. The Workshop Add-On is $299 plus fees and covers the hands-on workshops on November 10. Applying is free and does not reserve a seat. Approved applicants receive an email with a link to purchase.
Sponsors
The presenting sponsor is Google. The page lists platinum, gold, and silver sponsor tiers, with more sponsors to be announced. Organizations interested in sponsoring can contact sponsorships@ai.engineer.
FAQ
The page includes frequently asked questions about the location and dates, who should attend, the format, how to get a ticket, whether talks are recorded and livestreamed, how the event differs from the World's Fair, and whether attendees can speak at the conference.
