Overview
The 13th Intelligent Systems Conference (IntelliSys) is an international research conference focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning and intelligent systems. Founded in 2015, it brings together researchers, academics and industry professionals to discuss advances in the theory, methods and applications of AI, and to consider the societal and industrial implications of AI-driven technologies. The conference describes itself as a forum for original research and cross-disciplinary dialogue, with attendees drawn from more than 50 countries.
The 2027 conference takes place on 2-3 September at the Mercure Amsterdam City Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The event is scheduled as a mixed-format conference, with both onsite and virtual registration options. It is organised by The Science and Information (SAI) Organization. IntelliHealth is listed as a co-located event sharing IntelliSys’s dates, venue and proceedings.
Research tracks
The conference invites work across four broad areas. Machine learning topics include deep and reinforcement learning, quantum machine learning, multi-agent systems, neuromorphic systems, natural language processing, large language models, decision-making, knowledge representation and human-computer interaction. Artificial intelligence topics include generative AI, artificial general intelligence, trustworthy and responsible AI, healthcare, distributed and hybrid AI, climate and sustainability, robotics, pervasive and affective computing, and secure architectures.
Computer vision coverage includes pattern recognition, image and video processing, vision-based security, brain-machine interfaces, cloud- and edge-enabled vision, multimodal and 3D systems, virtual and augmented reality, object detection and video understanding. Internet of Things topics include architectures and protocols, wearables, sensing networks, smart cities, geographic information systems, AI for energy, model-driven architecture, autonomous vehicles, digital twins and decentralised systems.
Research submissions and conference features
Researchers can consult the Call for Papers for the designated tracks, submission deadlines, templates and instructions. Submitted manuscripts are evaluated through anonymous, double-blind review. The page says each paper is assessed by at least three regular program committee members or two senior program committee members, with decisions considering novelty, technical depth, impact, presentation quality and relevance. Papers should generally keep the main text to 18 pages, with references and appendices allowed separately, and abstracts should be 150-250 words.
The programme is described as including keynote talks, paper sessions and other conference activities, although a detailed 2027 timetable and confirmed speaker list are not provided on this page. The site highlights past keynote speakers including Wil van der Aalst of RWTH Aachen University, Cees G.M. Snoek of the University of Amsterdam, Marten van Dijk of CWI and Catholijn Jonker of TU Delft; these are presented as speakers from previous editions, not as confirmed 2027 speakers. Outstanding conference papers and posters receive awards announced at the closing. Proceedings are planned for publication in Springer’s Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems series.
Attendance and practical information
Both author and participant registrations are available onsite and virtually. Author registration is for presenting one paper; participants attend without presenting. The page lists fees of £750 for onsite registration and £600 for virtual registration. Registrations are for one delegate, are final and non-refundable, and cannot be transferred. Registered presenting authors may request an invitation or visa-support letter. Authors may use generative AI responsibly in manuscript preparation, provided its use is disclosed and human authors remain accountable for the work.
